Shaping Your Family Identity
From the BSA “Fun for the Family” Guide:
The family is the basic unit for nurturing the physical, social, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and ethical development of an individual. Family members should know which values are encouraged and practiced by the family. Knowing these values is essential if the nurturing is going to be healthy and adaptive. In achieving this objective, the first step in family development is shaping who the family is and learning what the family represents.

Examples of family activities in this category could include creating a family motto, exploring a family’s heritage, and celebrating family milestones.
