Cub Scout: Cooking & Nutrition

Cub Scout Cooking & Nutrition

During your Walt Disney World vacation, your scout will have the opportunity to practice his cooking & nutrition skills as you plan for your vacation, while traveling to WDW, dining at the restaurants, and visiting the parks.

Throughout the Cub Scout ranks, there are many Cooking & Nutrition goals built into the adventures including:

  • Developing manners when eating
  • Making healthy food choices
  • Trying new fruits and vegetables
  • Planning and managing a budget
  • Practicing basic food-related hygiene
  • Food safety
  • Practicing kitchen safety
  • Preparing nutritious snacks independently
  • Learning basic cooking skills
  • The proper way to lay and light a fire
  • Understanding how to read a recipe

A Scout is trustworthy, helpful, courteous, thrifty, and clean while practicing cooking & nutrition skills.
